Yoga For Beginners – The Basics – Yoga With Adriene

This yoga practice is perfect for beginners but also nice for those looking for a slow and mindful back to basics class. Promote deep listening with the basics. Up your fitness practice and even your yoga workout by connecting or reconnecting to action and alignment. Get the most out of your time on your mat by connecting with your energy and awareness. Cultivate deep listening each time you show up on your mat. This practice is also great for yoga teachers or aspiring yoga teachers! Special thanks to my assistant on this one, thanks Benji!

Namaste.

  1. Wow, this is helping me so much through a stressful period at work! I didn't think I'd find such joy at the end of it, but it is really great and I don't feel as broken as I used to when I took paid classes with instructors. Thank you so much Adrienne, Namaste.

  2. I just completed my first yoga session and look forward to many more with you. You are super cute and I love how you explain everything and all your positive chatter. Thank you so much! I am so excited for this new journey 🧘‍♀️❤

  3. Adriene. I have discovered your videos and I am loving it. I have been doing this video for about 2 weeks now and I am confident in the moves. Still have alot of learn but wanted to know if you suggest a video to move onto next to move along and learn more?

  4. I have so much tension in my back, shoulders, and neck, my posture has been terrible since I was a teen… I`ve been doing your videos for about 3 weeks now almost every day and I see significant changes already! thank you for sharing all this content with us, you`re awesome!

  5. Hi, Yoga With Adriene has been a revelation:). I am learning not just about health and movement, but also about 'being'. I had assumed I was an open person, but realise that I was actually very self protective (for many reasons) and the practice is teaching me to open up. I hadn't expected that there would be a 'spiritual' and emotional learning and am very grateful for the experience. Thank you Adriene, hugely. Lots of love to all.

  6. It's the adorable & quirky batting of the plant @ 25:08 for me! Warms my heart, what an awesome soul Adriene is! So glad I started my yoga journey with Yoga with Adriene!

  7. Thanks a million! I loved this video! I also shared with my cousin ! We are older yogis and enjoy all the info ! I’ll be back! 🧘🏻‍♀️🙏🥰

  8. thank you for teaching in such a way that helps me not feel dumb! you make it very natural and normal to not know how to do these moves and the encouragement you give that I will get there is so needed!

  9. I have been meaning to do one of your videos for ages as i am new to yoga but not new to procrastinating. Well, today i did this tutorial and absolutely loved it. Im not surprised you have so many followers and I can't wait to do more. And please, more Benjy!! :-)x

  10. I am very grateful to you for making this video, this was the best experience I had with yoga. Thank you so much, and many blessings.

  11. I just did this class for the first time (never did yoga before but always wanted to) and I got through it alright except for my knees and feet. I have chronic health issues that impacted my lower legs mostly so not surprised. It looks like I will need some props–probably a block and some knee jellies? Will give those a try unless you have other suggestions. Thanks for a great class!

  12. Is there an alternative to the lunge at about 13:38 minutes into this video ? I have a lot of difficulty resting my weight onto that back knee….all suggestions appreciated 😀

  13. This is my first ever yoga video. I’ve been meaning to start for such a long time. I even bought my mat and towels and blocks like six months ago but didn’t want to start until I felt I could be consistent. I could slap myself for not starting sooner. I always hear people say what a big difference doing yoga makes but I just thought you had to be healthy first, or maybe those people have been doing it a long time and are already good at it. Never did I believe I’d feel better after my first time! I even took the time to make a yoga playlist for when I did start 🤦🏼‍♀️ I will definitely be making this a priority now.

  14. this is great! Due to the pandemic, I cannot return to yoga lessons at the gym. With this, who wants to anyway!

  15. Tuesday 3rd August 2021 4:03 PM DAY 0NE
13:09 is what i got up to ! ( i’ve never done yoga really but i’ll come back to this later tonight ! )

  16. Gonna be hitting up this video a few times before I go to day 2 of the 30 days of yoga. Totally out of shape and just quit drinking 12 days ago. I was sweating to this but after the exercise two things hit my mind hard. The first thing was that even though I was sweating and just did 40 minutes of this I didn't feel tired or burnt out. Second thing was time just flew by doing this. I literally thought this was like a 20 minute video. Thanks for the instruction! Felt like I was right there with ya.

  17. Just finished my first time….was not able to follow instruction exactly but tried….am 64 and now my body is yelling. Got a lot of limbering up to do, lol. But I did enjoy and learned how bad I need this. Thank you. Robin

  18. Very good morning practice. I have shared this video with my fitness group. Excellent beginner session.
