Yoga For A Fresh Start | Yoga With Adriene

A practice designed for humans living through disorienting times. This complete session is designed to help you use the tools of yoga to become aware of where you are so you can mindfully guide yourself forward. Increase flexibility, build strength, improve posture with this breath led yoga practice.

In this session, we will ease in, practice breath technique, and MOVE.

Be prepared to let go of what no longer is serving you, feel the power of your own presence, and boost your connection with feelings of balance, ease, creativity, and contentment.

Encouraged but optional: bring a blanket or towel to sit on.

Let me know how it goes for you in the comment section, I love to hear from you!

  1. This session is not a fix all but I think it does a damn good job of gently putting you in an empowered role to center in your awareness and guide yourself forward.
Because no one else can do that for you.
No guru. It has to be you.

How are you feeling after today's practice?

  2. Through the pandemic I really stopped focusing on taking care of myself with movement – I just did this practice & it was amazing ♥️ so grateful for this channel 🙌

I have been dealing with addiction for over five years now and you both have become a safe haven for when I have slipped yet you bring me back to focus.. it has been a struggle and everyday is a fresh start…so this was very much needed today… Onward and Forward <3 Love and Light <3

  9. I’m a little late to this video, because I have pushed off yoga for months now due to my mental health spiraling. Today is the day I decided to take my mental health into my own hands again. It felt amazing to move my body along with my breath again. I’m making it a commitment to myself to show up everyday, even if it’s only for 10 minutes. My life changes today and I release what doesn’t serve me any more !!

  10. I just love feeling so connected to you and everyone doing this, even though it's just a video. Thank you so much ❤

  11. What a perfect way to start full – more than just stretching – yoga practices again after surgery. 5 weeks post-op and I'm finally feeling good! This practice was amazing! Thank you Adriene

  12. It was really hard to show up for practice today but i'm really glad I did it. Thank you, Adriene ❤

  13. On my mat in Childs pose whispering thanks to God for this experience of authenticity, and light. This is what truly heals and nurtures. In this season of your rest may you discover more magic that you never knew was there. Glorious expansion. Wow, what is next?!

  14. “I choose”.. to be secure in myself. Now I’m bowing my head in my hands crying a little bit. Thank you Adriene for your wonderful videos and kind words 💕

  15. Me: I think I should have done a meditation before this?
    Adriene: Inhale and exhale
Me; Ugh! my neck hurts. Should I do some neck stretches?
Adriene: Move your head to the left.
Me: I don't feel like moving much
Adriene: moves in slow relaxing pace
Me: Why do I not choose a cardio or stregth video?
    Adriene: #*$@#*$)

How do you read my mind adriene?? how?? how????? what kind of black magic is this? FYI me and my yoga mat are drenched in sweat.

  16. I did not watch the video before doing it and it was a roller coaster ride for me. OMG!! total surprise!

  17. Thank you for this video. I’m new to yoga, but into meditation already. I’m excited to combine the two. 💜 I cannot even begin to describe how good my energy feels after this video. Thank you beautiful soul.

  18. Just had the strangest experience doing this one; I came out of Eagle Arms and completely instinctively started into Knocking, even though I had no idea that’s what came next. It just felt needed and right! Thanks for great guidance as always 💖

  19. Needed this today after a 3 month break with a broken hand. I'd talked about restarting for ages but the subscription email I received yesterday was definitely a sign – it was so good to hear that soothing voice and feel like I'd 'come home'. Thank you 🙏 Namaste

  20. “Almost as if you love yourself “. You haven’t gotten me to cry in a while, I guess I was due. You got me on that line. Thank you, Adriene

  21. Today after procrastinating for over three weeks I did this practice. What can I saw more then: it made me feel really good! 😎

  22. as someone who is struggling with depression and bipolar disorder for years, yoga (with adriene) became my favorite therapy. im not even trying to describe how i feel to people around me, because of the prejudice they have towards the concept of yoga. but each practice is another experience i have with myself, with others, and with all the energy around me. i am away from all the medicine i took, all the things im hearing, all the people who take away my energy. i am in the most secure state.
last month was one of the most difficult periods of my life. i was alone, without the support of my family, i had to start working in a full time job, i was away from my people, my circle. i didn't have the time to do my paintings, do my yoga, do the meditation. just work to pay my rent, and i was so unhappy at my job. for the first time, i couldn't find the time to be just with myself, doing my yoga practice, enjoying the little things that make me happy.
3 days ago, i quit the job, and i found another one. i have 2 free days until it starts and today, i was finally ready and able to do the practice.
finally have a clean place, a home. finally some free time to focus on myself, regaining the energy.
so, couple of minutes into this practice, and at the end of it too, i started crying like a baby. i did not stop myself. the things im feeling, the things im normally not able to feel because of the medication, i miss them so much.
i miss this. i miss my yoga, i miss adriene's calming voice. i miss my little space.
i just wanted to share this. whenever you feel lost, just remember you always have yourself. you're always there when you turn back. the feelings you once felt and now miss, are always there.
thank you, adriene. i'm doing this for 3 years now, with you. you're the person who showed me what yoga really is. im giving you my biggest hug.
from my heart to yours, and everyone who share their story.
