2020 is set to become Mexico’s deadliest year on record. Despite hopes that the COVID-19 pandemic would slow down violent crime, it’s had the opposite effect. VICE News visited Culiacán a city of about 800,000, and the headquarters of the notorious Sinaloa Cartel.
